What're ya doin'?

Finishing up the summer, writing this from my home in Rochester. The summer has flown by, my daughter has had 8 weeks off spending a mix with me, W2 and at camp. It's been brilliant. 

What're ya workin' on?

I started working an FTC contract, that I got through an old connection. Helping out with some change, procurement and programme management. I'm 2 months into that now and it's OK. 

I got a bit disheartened with OpsWolf, the Linkedin Stuff and networking. I had a real surge of energy through to about June, but it fell away as the market and tech industry seems to be in denial about the impending recession. I have more to write and say, I'm glad I got it out there and will keep chipping away at it.

I'm still ready for some 'war'. So keeping my eye out for things that might give me that outlet. It's great being an 'operator', but it's so frustrating sometimes not being an ideas person.

What're ya playin'?

Not much actually. I got back into Icarus a bit - one of those comfy games where you can just dip in, feel some progression and not have any real commitment. The summer is always quiet though and there's a lot of things coming in September that will give me something to write about.

What're ya listen' to?

I'm still very much into the hardcore/punk scene right now. I discovered SOFT PLAY in the usual way - a Spotify radio playlist and fell in love with their overall sound. It's great when you go through an artists songs and realise you've heard some of it before and loved it but couldn't remember and it's a like a bit of rediscovery! 

Definitely worth checking out for a UK hardcore/punk band.
